Seriously, I hope no one pays for some ****** bag to do nothing to your bike!! DIY

Quite frankly I don’t see this guy overtightenig anything. He’s clockwise adjusting loose parts just enough. A fast checkup, don’t think there’s a misleading skipping of technical nature here.

  8. adam1collins says:

You can but it is long winded. You have to change you shifter, derrallier, chain, cassette and possibly you free wheel. I f your bike came with six speeds then i am guessing it is a budget bike in which i don’t thinhk it is a good idea.

  9. condowallace says:

This vid is very misleading. Nearly every bolt, especially pivot bolts, fork crown bolts and crank bolts, have certain torque recommendations that need to be adhered to. Over tightening can cause damage and failures which will result in injury or death.
Also, if your a bike mechanic then
I’m appalled, You’re a disgrace. Simply tightening bolts to the limit is just not good enough. I would be outraged if i had someone like you working on my bike.

  10. condowallace says:

You would also have to buy a new hub and/or a new rim, depending on the hub you choose, to accommodate the larger cassette. Both 8 and 9 speeds use the same hub so you can switch between them if you wish.

  11. biohazard1243 says:

hey, my deraillure eat my spokes, haha does that ruin the rims? i was hoppinyg off of my curb, i bought a new derailure but im not sure about the rim. Whats do you think, this has been the second time in the life of my bike that this has happened, i always thought it was a normal, but the next one im going to adjust the inboard adjustment.

  12. Masteryoda57 says:

You could, but you’d have to change your rear derailleur and trigger to the right speed. You may also have to change the chain to a thinner one to allow for 9 speed gearing.
Depending on what range you go for you’d be looking at at least £50 ($80) and probably a fair bit more, due to the number of parts you’d have to change.

  13. skyliner288 says:

I wonder if i can change my cassette from a 6 spd to 8 or a 9 spd, i that possible??? plz answer quickly!
