thanks for responding, since then i have gone and it was a blast. I think im gunna look for a new bike though because my specialized epic is great for xc, but it does not have enough suspension travel for this type of riding
Is attitash a good mountain for a first time downhill riding experience?
I wanted to go with my friends because we have been riding a little over a year now but we have only done flat singletrack type riding.
We wanted to try DH but i dont want it to be too hard
What do you think?
does iron horse make good mountain bikes? im not doing anything insane like this, just starting out, and theres an iron horse for sale at my local sports shop. its a $600 bike, clearance for 350, front and rear disk brakes, nice front fork, seems like a good deal…buying it pretty much no matter what. just wondering about them.
@ASTELECT the bikes the are riding are most def atleast $1800+. On of the guys is rdding a hartail. I thing its buy s company called banshee that has hartail made for ridding very hard. You could build a good freride hardtail for $800
@paperclipracer that was my first real mountain bike. Its super low end, but your right it does hold upcause i put mine through hell. Now in getting a 6′ travel full suspention freeride bike.
i kinda want an all purpose mtn bike decent not super high end not crapy for under about 600 is that do able? any suggestions? i like the way these bike look how much are these?
unfortunately none exist, that cheap and it will just fall apart. You can get a decent hardtail for about $470 though, check out specialized, they are pretty good.
A better option would be to find a local bike shop and ask them in person.
S/he’s new, there’s no real need for the attitude. Everyone’s got to learn at some point… So chill dude and try to be helpful.
There is no such thing as a stupid question, especially when you are unfamiliar with the average price of gear and all you know of at $200 “mountain” bikes from target.

@Xtremesportguys603 Downhill isn’t necessarily hard. I started on a DH trail and ’twas my first ever trail I rode on.

1:32 how?
Are they riding FS or Hardtails? They all look like hardtails at first, but they definetly handle like FS bikes.
@ASTELECT get a norco katmandu its about 540$ retail price its a hardtail and its awsome
if you want a good hard-tail mountain bike get a Norco Katmandu its really good for about 540$
i love the slide there
That’s scary looking.

good biking but not the best camera
@TokiiHopZ Bikes with great suspension! lol
What Kind of Bikes are those?? Whats the name
@cricketer1 unfortunately I don’t know much about bikes.. My base is limited to the bikes I’ve had some experience with like Gary Fox and Specialized.
Google mtbr, they are a great website with tons of user submitted reviews for particular bikes.
@MorganFawnvern do u think diamondback response is a good enough bike for intermediate mtbiking. not as advanced as attitash.
just got a giant boulder se hard tail for 325. It holds up to a lot of crap.
lol
if u just want a mtn bike u can get a next bike, but it will break if it touches dirt
